The fact that this park is directly across the street from the beach adds to its appeal. A charming creek separates the RV area from the tent campers. Dogs are welcome! This is a fantastic place to camp, and you can take pictures from RV parks, campsites, and even rented cabins.

Bring your sweetheart here to earn some extra brownie points. “Good for beachcombing,” according to one source. There were cranes, ravens, and crows everywhere. It was fantastic.” This beautiful campground, which is right next to Little River State Beach, has a lot to offer.

3. Wright’s Beach Campground


The location is ideal, right on the sand. However, these sell out quickly, so plan ahead! The dark sand beach is a beautiful place to visit, but the water is dangerous. Take note! The views, however, more than make up for it, particularly the massive, imposing boulders that line the shoreline.

The beach is fantastic. Views to die for. Restrooms that are clean. The shop is fully stocked. Bring the kids; you’ll undoubtedly create memories here. This is a family-friendly campground that has been in operation since 1925! Everyone loves coming back here again and again, so they must be doing something good.

5. Doran Campground

We’re extremely fortunate to be able to spend time at the beach. Many other regions are landlocked and unable to develop. This is one of the most popular campsites in the area. People travel from all over to enjoy a beach campsite. Dogs are welcome, but please keep your furry pal on a leash. Not everybody shares your passion for dogs as much as you and I do. This location also provides some of the best beach camping in Northern California, so you know you’ll want to pay a visit.

For a brief moment, we’re claiming this space as our own. There are RV and tent sites available and options to stay as close to the beach as possible. The beach is accessible via several trails, as well as the Monarch Butterfly Grove next door. This is a truly wonderful place to camp! Check out this map of campgrounds and choose your preference!

Aside from the obvious, what makes this spot special is that few people know about it. As a result, it’s a little more private. The clean toilets and HOT WATER showers are a plus. This venue fills up quickly, so make a reservation as soon as possible.

The hike and bike campground is just $7. One of my favorite locations is Half Moon Bay. A foggy morning with the roar of the waves and a hot cup of coffee; heaven. There are four miles of gentle, sandy beaches at this location. Francis Beach has 52 campsites, so you’ll have no trouble finding a great spot.

It is situated on a lonely stretch of the coast between the towns of Santa Cruz and Monterey. Sunset State Beach is a popular destination. Explore sand dunes, beaches, surf fisheries, surfing, swimming, windsurfing, snorkel, kayaking, picnics, whale-watching, and wildlife activities are part of the outdoor activities. There are dune-protected family campsites available, as well as RVs up to 31 feet long and pets. This is a fantastic spot for a weekend getaway.

A beautiful spot for hikers and beachgoers alike. “Super cool campground and certainly perfect for inexperienced backpackers because the trail is really well marked and you have a vault toilet and potable water there,” one satisfied camper said. You also can’t deny the location; you’re just a few minute’s walk from the beach. Yeah, there are wild animals in this area (we saw bobcats, deer, coyotes, and a slew of quails).” That sounds fantastic to me! Follow the trail all the way out to the Pacific Ocean for breathtaking views.
